Despite the economic uncertainty at the global level, the number of international patent application PCT has slightly increased with respect to 2021, by 0,3%, reaching 278.100 filings.
China, the United States, Japan, the Republic of Korea, and Germany are the more prolific countries. However, India and the Republic of Korea show the most important activity on PCT filings (respectively 25,4% and +6,2%) and in general Asian countries cover more than 54,7% of the total amount of filings.
The number of International Designs filed with the Hague treaty has increased by 11,2%, reaching t25.028 units.
The number of International Trademarks signs a minor drop respect 2021, -6,1%, touching about 69.000 units.
