global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>The study entitled <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.euipo.europa.eu\/en\/publications\/firm-level-analysis-report-january-2025\">Intellectual property rights and firm performance in the European Union \u2013 2025 edition<\/a> <\/strong>confirms some results already highlighted by the previous edition:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>EU firms that own IP rights achieve higher revenue<\/strong>s (23,85 for employees) in respect to firms that do not own IP rights;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Wages of employees in firms that own IP rights are higher than the ones in firms that don\u2019t own IP rights<\/strong>, typically about 22%;<\/li>\n<li><strong>The amount of UE SMEs that own IP rights is still under 10%,<\/strong> while almost 50% of big companies own at least one title or a combination of patents for invention, trademark, or industrial design.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The study is based on the analysis of IPR rights owned by 119.00 EU firms across the 27 EU member states for a time span of 10 years (2013-2022) and takes into account patents for invention, trademarks, industrial designs registered at EPO, EUIPO and national patent offices.<\/p>\n<p><a
